Starting in late 2011, I added ‘Enhanced Resonance’ shakuhachi flutes to my website.
Enhanced Resonance flutes have an overall stronger and more vibrant tone than my Meditation line of shakuhachi flutes.
Enhancing the resonance is performed by adding or removing material inside the bore at very specific locations, to bring out the best tone color and resonance in each note. Even a very small amount of material placed in the right location can make a drastic change in sound quality.
