For treating and preserving bamboo. Pure cold pressed food grade Walnut Oil. Walnut oil is our preferred oil for shakuhachi flutes because of it's ability to penetrate bamboo then cure. Forms a protective moisture barrier for the flute and helps reduce the chance of a crack forming.
Apply to outside of flute 3 to 4 times a year with a soft cotton cloth or paper towel and wipe off excess.
